A-282 Maintenance Charger
The A-282 Maintenance Charger is a portable, automatic,
multi-step 2-amp charging unit which connects directly to the battery
receptacle.
Unlike standard trickle chargers which simply maintain an
already charged battery in charged condition, the A-282 can fully re-charge
a discharged battery if required. This can be extremely valuable if
the aircraft battery has been accidentally discharged in the field and
emergency charging is needed.
This A-282 is compatible with 24-volt
vented/sealed lead acid and 20-cell
vented nickel-cadmium aircraft batteries. The microprocessor
controlled multi-step, pulsed charging algorithm top charges ni-cd batteries
and provides conditioning to lead-acid batteries. The A-282 has a universal
AC input from 9--260 VAC and is supplied with a padded carrying case with
IEC line cord.
